Turun Setlementti ry is responsible for the Girls’ and Boys’ Houses in Turku (Turun Tyttöjen Talo & Turun Poikien Talo). The association organizes morning and afternoon activities at the Raunistula school and carries out summer activities for school children.

- Activities funded by the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA), the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland (Varha) and the city of Turku.
Turku Girls’ House & Turku Boys’ House
• At the Girls’ and Boys’ Houses we carry out social youth work.
• The activities of the Girls’ House in the city centre are for girls and young women aged 12-28 and in Varissuo for girls aged 10-19 and their mothers. We also organise entertainment for boys and young men aged 12-28. We take into account gender diversity.
• At the Girls’ and Boys’ Houses you can, for example, spend time with others, eat snacks, do crafts and play games. You can also participate in various skills development groups, events, workshops and trips. We additionally offer individual support in various matters such as sexual counselling and support for those who have experienced sexual violence.
• Our activities are professionally instructed by our instructors and trained volunteers.
• Our approach is gender sensitive and culturally sensitive, and we follow the principles for a safer space.
• All our activities are free of charge and voluntary.
Morning and afternoon activities at the Raunistula school
• The morning and afternoon activities for school children are intended for first and second graders starting school. They are organised on school days from 7.30 am to 10.00 am and from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.
• The activities are children’s safe and supervised leisure time with familiar and professional instructors. The activities include crafting, drawing, painting, playing outdoors and making friends. We plan the afternoon program according to the children’s wishes.
• The club fee for this season is 92€/month or 110€/month, according to the selected period. The price of the morning club is 40€/month. The club fee includes a varied and healthy snack, guidance and the necessary crafting and other materials as well as insurance.
• Applications are made via the Wilma system. Free places can be inquired from the coordinator.
